About
I consider myself a Mid-West girl, having finished college in Omaha, Nebraska; I was, though, born in Southern California. While dutifully experiencing a stint in Corporate America, it became obvious my entrepreneurial spirit would not heed my “Shhhh-es!”, so I formally launched the parent company of BizCoachDeb, Inc., in 1997. Solid roots as the Sales and Marketing Director at a few firms gave me a good base to work from and today, I help small businesses grow smartly with the use of traditional and new media marketing vehicles. The Internet has been my stomping grounds for almost 20 years, so technology and social networking tools are like a comfy couch to me. And copywriting? That’s something I’ve done lovingly since high school.
I’m actively involved in my community, both online and off, and take several pro bono projects each year. Here are some great organizations that I’m part of:
- Board of Director: Mile High Business Alliance
- President: Boulder Writers Alliance
- Chapter Advisor: Girls In Tech – Denver/Boulder Chapter
- Member: Boulder Independent Business Alliance
- Member: Mile High Business Alliance
- Member: Lafayette Chamber of Commerce
- Member: Boulder Chamber of Commerce
- Member: CreativePaw.org
- Notary Public: State of Colorado
In addition to these activities, I’m heavily involved in a thriving hockey community: I’m a varsity hockey coach at Fairview Highschool and also coach a high school hockey team at the YMCA of Boulder Valley, plus play and officiate throughout the Denver Metro. I also volunteer for several awesome organizations year round. For my fun time, my hobbies are homebrewing, home improvement and gardening.
Your next question might be, “What can I expect from working with BizCoachDeb?”
In a word: Clarity. In starting or even running a business, it’s easy to become overwhelmed, even lost in all the things you need to do. My job is to strip away the distractions and set an actionable plan of attack so you can get confidently to the next step in building your business. Together, we set objectives, goals and accountability, which include three steps:
- Exploring where you are now and where you want to be
- Providing a defined direction and use of your marketing budget
- Cultivating a sustainable long-term plan for growth and management
